Coming to the end of the first month in Lockdown 3, can you believe it? I hope, with all my heart that you and your family are well and I really hope that you are practising self-care to look after you. It’s not always the easiest thing to do is it, especially for those of us who are used to putting everyone else first. But you know, it is so important that we do allow ourselves some down time.
I am extremely fortunate in my work as a Personal Stylist because I get to meet the most amazing women, just like you. It is always an honour and privilege to be invited into my clients’ wardrobes to help them increase their confidence.
It’s often underestimated how much our outfits & the way we look is so intrinsically linked to how we feel. I love nothing more than helping women to make sense of what is in their wardrobe, to repurpose garments, clear the clutter and help them to fall back in love with their clothes.
Obviously at the moment, I am only peering into wardrobes via Zoom but nevertheless, for me, the feeling of being able to bring a smile to the face of a woman who has become overwhelmed with the contents of her wardrobe, is something I love very much and am so very grateful for.
The most common comments I hear from ladies at the moment are “I’m fed up of wearing loungewear” or “I’m bored of my clothes"
Knowing how our personal presentation and our mindset are so closely connected, I urge you ladies, to delve into your wardrobe and seek out garments you know you feel great in. So what if it’s that dress you would normally love wearing to work or that blouse you keep for “best”. Wearing your best frock is not going to change the world, but trust me when I tell you that getting up and getting dressed into a feel good outfit sets our internal tone for the day.

What is Boutique in a Box?
Boutique in a Box is Black Diamond’s online personal shopping service where we bring (well, the postman brings…) a selection of the boutique to your door.
Here’s how it works:
Pop over to the website to purchase your £10 Boutique in a Box. (this covers delivery & return costs). Following your purchase, you will receive an email with a link to a questionnaire…. fill this out with as much information as possible. The more you can tell me about your style loves, dislikes, your figure and size, the better I can be with my suggestions. Once I receive your completed questionnaire, I will set about putting 5 items together which Sam will ship to you.
In your box, you’ll receive notes about each item together with suggestions on outfit combinations. You will have 5 days to try on the items and get back in touch to let us know which items you’d like to keep so payment is organised.
Now, I will push your comfort zone a little. But that’s the point, right? There’s no point in Sam & I sending you items that mirror what you already have! Rest assured, we are not about to make you into someone you’re not, which is why the questionnaire is super important and allows me to get to know you.
Helen, had, in her own words, felt lost with her style choices and her husband surprised her with a Boutique in a Box for Christmas. (What a great husband!) This was a great opportunity to push Helen out of her comfort zone. The result? She loved all the options in her box and kept them all :)
