Hello Everyone! What a month June has been!

As I write this blog we have been open for just over a week and we have been blown away by everyones support locally and online. It was a very daunting feeling reopening Black Diamond not knowing if we were doing the right thing, and if ultimately it was safe for us and our customers. That said, the feedback on all the provisions that have been made in the store have been truly positive.

To everyone who has been supporting their small independent businesses on their high street or online during lockdown, THANK YOU. I think you’ll agree, the innovation shown by small businesses during this time has been amazing. Now you’ve discovered shopping small & local, please don’t stop. We are very lucky in Burbage with our shop location, so many people have been shopping local as and where they can, me included, and I can say I think it will change the way a lot of us shop from now on.

Having my shop closed these past 3 months has been incredibly tough. Having only taken over the boutique last September it felt as though I was finally finding my feet just as lockdown began! As a small business owner, I can tell you we actually live and breathe what we do! During lockdown the workload was immense, setting up the new website and then doing local deliveries and keeping it all going, but I'm so happy that we did as it kept us going so we can still be here today!

We have dealt with heatwaves, torrential rain, hail and more changing times with Covid19 easing back into some kind of normality this month. But one thing I know after the past few months is we can handle anything :)

The shop is looking fabulous and I'm so glad we get to share these with you in person now. Its been so nice seeing you all try things on in store or via social media.The  Spring/Summer 20 collection was one of my first orders for the shop when I took over last year so its amazing finally being able to see if my choices are being well received :)
