Let’s be brave and wear shorts...
Admittedly, as I write this, it is raining and a little bit chilly! However, despite our wonderful weather, this time of year does give us some perfect opportunities to ‘air’ our legs! A bit like opening the windows and letting the air in, allowing our legs some time in the fresh air can feel refreshing and invigorating.
Although, I often hear quite the opposite… thoughts such as ‘I don’t wear shorts because….I don’t like my knees’ or ‘because I don’t like my thighs’ or ‘I have veins on my legs I’m not comfortable to show’.
We women are brilliant at negative self-talk. We wouldn’t judge another woman for wearing shorts so why do we give ourselves such a hard time?
With this in mind, I challenge you to look in the mirror without judgement. If you were looking at the reflection of another woman, you would be kind, so be kind to yourself. Stop your train of thought if it turns negative. Go on, give it a go.
