November has been such a busy month and as I write this we are gearing up for one of the busiest evenings of the year tomorrow ... Burbage Christmas Light Switch On. Its such a fantastic event for the village and its so nice to see so many people come out for it. I hope the weather is kind to us and that everyone has a fantastic time as we all missed it last year.
Talking of last year its hard to believe that we were shut for the whole of November... Madness but such a relief that we have remained open this winter and long may that continue.
Its also Black Friday tomorrow, its something we don't participate in as we strongly believe we give you value for money and look after our customers all year round. We don't feel the need to up prices and then reduce to make you think you are getting a bargain. It's really unfair but I have noticed this year though lots of people are wise to this and are avoiding it which is good.
Ellie and I have been out and about with our cameras in recent weeks taking pictures so you can see the beautiful clothes rather than just in the shop. My initial shyness is getting better but Ellie is a natural. We are slowly roping the lovely Emma into the practice of selfies too!
We are almost at the end of the Autumn/Winter Season, hard to believe i know but we are so excited for the new season after xmas. We have some beautiful pieces coming in and an exciting new brand.
In the meantime I hope all your Christmas shopping is going to plan, I understand that people are still nervous in shopping especially when its busy. We have introduced gift wrapping for in store and online purchases and we can send onto that special person if you can't or don't want to come shopping. We also have wish lists online so if you see something you like you can send onto your loved one as a major hint. Be quick though as we don't keep large stocks of everything and once its gone its gone.
I will pop a short blog on before xmas to wish you all the best but from myself and the team thank you so much for your support this year. You have all been amazing and kept us going in these tough uncertain times especially at the start of the year.
Much Love
Sam xx
