Finally, the weather is improving this week but with that always comes the question of “what coat shall I wear?” Often as the days warm up a little, the mornings are still chilly but not chilly enough for our winter coats. I’m often asked for advice on a Spring jacket.
Coupled with the chilly mornings, here in the UK, we may find ourselves sitting outside more than usual for this time of year as lockdown restrictions are gradually lifted and we can now “meet outside”. Rather than freeze, let’s have a look at some ideal options from Black Diamond Boutique. I have done a little video showcasing these styles so click here to watch.
The ‘Shacket' is a very popular style this season if you love a casual look. Sam has two great options from Saint Tropez. First up is the oversized Tayja style… https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/saint-tropez-tayja-jacket Comfortable and ideal for layering over a t-shirt/sweatshirt, this is a real cosy number.
If you fancy trying the shacket style but prefer not to go for the oversized look, try the Dayja style which is a regular fit and therefore more true to size. https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/saint-tropez-dayja-jacket
For those looking for something a little smarter as we step out into the world, the Fransa Navy jacket/blazer is a great option. It has wide soft lapels so is super comfortable. The detailing on the back gives a lovely touch with it’s elastic feature. I can see this being worn casually and would work to smarten up jeans and a t-shirt. Very versatile. https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/fransa-frvedusa-blazer
A denim jacket is a wardrobe must-have! Easy to throw on with jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses, it really does earn its keep in the wardrobe. The trend is for oversized denim but I much prefer the classic denim look and this B. Young version is a winner: https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/b-young-bypully-denim-jacket Don’t be afraid to ‘double denim’ - it works if you add texture (maybe a furry gilet) and statement trainers or boots.
B. Young have pulled it out the bag with this fab spring version of a biker style jacket. Simple design in this neutral tan colour way. Easily teamed with jeans for a casual look but will also be great over a blouse or dress for work. https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/b-young-byacom-jacket
And finally, how about a throwback look with the fabulous bomber style jacket from B.Young https://blackdiamondboutique.co.uk/collections/jackets-and-coats/products/b-young-byberta-jacket In a deep Pine green, it’s great fun with it’s neck and cuff detail. So cool with jeans and a roll neck for sitting out with friends in our new found freedom!
Have a super Easter break.
See you soon,
